East Side Dave’s Top 5 Guns ‘N’ Roses Music Videos!
Hola, Rat Rock Nation!
“East Side” Dave of the Morning Rat Race here. So, I’m sitting in the studio, listening to a little Guns ‘N’ Roses (one of the best bands ever) on the RAT, when I get sucked into a YouTube vortex of the best G’N’R videos.
And, DAMN, did they have some amazing music videos. In fact, a few of them feel more like mini-movies rather than something you’d see on 1990’s MTV.
So, without further ado, let’s present to you a list! It’s East Side Dave’s Top 5 Guns ‘N’ Roses Music Videos!
Get in the ring!
5.) Don’t Cry
This cinematic and incredible video features Blind Melon’s Shannon Hoon, who was childhood friends with Axl Rose. And it ROCKS.
4.) Patience
This fantastic ballad from LIES is one of their most-watched videos ever. But, it also showcased G’N’R as a band that could make serious hits.
3.) Estranged
Maybe one of the most controversial entries on this list, I maintain that “Estranged” is one of the strangest and greatest videos ever made. Axl swims with dolphins, Slash emerges from the water like a merman, and awesomeness is created.
2.) Welcome To The Jungle
The video that put G’N’R on the map was not supposed to be seen by a large amount of people. Apparently, it was considered so edgy, that MTV only showed the clip in the wee hours of the morning. But even with the late, late night exposure, it still created a massive amount of buzz. MTV then began presenting the video earlier in the day…and rock and roll history was made.
1.) November Rain
This is Guns ‘N’ Roses at their epic and artistic best. A real story is told in this haunting video that is also one of the best G’N’R songs in their discogrpahy.
