The owner of the Showboat hotel has revealed his plan to build a $100 million water park in Atlantic City.
Bart Blatstein shared the news earlier this week about the unnamed resort.
The Associated Press reported that the Philadelphia developer applied for a state tax credit to help finance the water park and is seeking approval from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.
“Atlantic City does not have a family market,” Blatstein told The Associated Press. “This will open up a whole new market that doesn’t exist.”
It has been noted that the development would be connected to the adjacent Showboat building and built on an existing parking lot at North end of the Atlantic City boardwalk.
