Geddy Lee and Bryan Adams were among an all-star lineup of Canadian artists in a new recording of the Bill Withers classic “Lean On Me” to raise money for the Canadian Red Cross’s COVID-19 efforts.

The video for the recording (embedded below) was prefaced with the following message: “To the late, great Bill Withers. Thank you for your lyrics and inspiring message. We are grateful to lean on music during our time of need. Your musical legacy lives on through us.”

In addition to Lee and Adams, a wide variety of Canadian artists were featured on the song including Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, Michael Bublé and Sarah McLachlan.  The clip also featured cameo appearances from Robb Wells and Mike Smith from Trailer Park Boys and Detroit Red Wings GM/Hockey Hall of Famer Steve Yzerman.
