Tornado Watch in NJ; High Wind Warning
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of New Jersey until 6:00 p.m. A High Wind Warning is also in effect for much of the area until 6 p.m. because of a significant system also bringing heavy rain and some severe storms.
The tornado watch area includes the following counties: Atlantic; Burlington; Camden; Cape May; Cumberland; Gloucester; Hunterdon; Mercer; Middlesex; Monmouth; Morris; Ocean; Salem; Somerset; Sussex; Warren.
A High Wind Warning is also in effect through Monday evening for New York City, Long Island, Connecticut and much of New Jersey. Damaging winds with gusts of up to 70 mph are expected to slam the region.
Secure or put away any outdoor furniture and please stay safe.
