Breaking News!
Biologists at Dartmouth University (one of the preeminent Ivy League institutions in America) have discovered that John Cleese's famous "Silly Walk" from his Monty Python days is, in fact, rather silly!
To be exact, it is actually 6.7 times sillier than a normal walk.
These particular scientists study the origin of human walking. And the research seems to center on the knee. John Cleese's very abnormal way of bending his knee 110 degrees is quite unique...and...well...extremely silly.
As for Michael Palin's walk, these same biologists found that Palin's walk is only 3.3 times sillier than normal...which is why John Cleese's character seemed rather unimpressed by Palin.
Thank you, Science, for these important findings! I know I can now sleep well at night with this info!
