Today is officially Super Mario Day! Rejoice by grabbing coins and saving princesses!
On this day in 1985, Nintendo’s Super Mario Brothers was released…and the video game world was forever changed.
Sure, the graphics are 8-bit and look slightly prehistoric by today’s standards.
However, compare to the graphics of other popular home games of that time…specifically to Atari’s Pac-Man and Donkey Kong…and Super Mario‘s visuals were downright mind-blowing.
Let’s bask in the glow of all thing Mario today! Check out the Mario video below! As for myself, I’ll be online dominating Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch if you see me!
