Driving in NJ

Why don't most people use their turn signals?  Is it too much of a hassle to tap that little device on the left side of your steering wheel to let me know you plan on changing lanes?  It's important!!  Why?    Because it can prevent an accident!  When you signal, it lets other drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians know your intentions.  You should use your turn signal at least 100 feet before turning or changing lanes.

I drive a little over 20 miles to work every morning on the Garden State Parkway, and I lose count of how many A**holes refuse to use their signals when they change lanes or plan on getting on to an exit ramp.   The worst offenders are those who cut across the parkway to get to the exit ramp at the last minute and cut off the cars who are already on the exit ramp. No signal and zero respect for your fellow motorists.

New Jersey Turn Signal Law – N.J.S.A. 39:4-126. ... Not only does the rule require a NJ driver to use their turn signal one-hundred (100) feet before a turn, N.J.S.A. 39:4-126 also prohibits a vehicle from turning left, right, forward or back until such movement can be made with safety.

If you're reading this and you are guilty of never using your turn signal, please drop me a line and let me know why.  You can email me at :Rocker@wrat.com, or feel free to add a comment on the social media page I posted this blog on.  For the love of God, please make an effort to use your turn signal!
