Congrats To DEREK JETER On The Hall Of Fame Induction! (Top 5 Jeter Moments)
The Yankees’ legendary shortstop, Derek Jeter, has officially been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Jeter received an incredible 396 out of 397 votes for a 99.7% induction…the second-highest percentage of all-time (only behind Jeter’s former team-mate, Mariano Rivera, who was unanimous).
Let’s look at the stats…
…Jeter won the American League Rookie of the Year in 1996.
He made it to FOURTEEN All Star teams.
He’s the only player in MLB history to win the World Series MVP and All Star MVP in the same season (2000).
He’s a five-time World Series Champion…a five-time Gold Glove winner…and a five-time Silver Slugger Award winner.
Jeter has a career batting average of .309…and is currently SIXTH on the all-time hits list in MLB history.
And Jeter was one of the most clutch players ever…he has an amazing career average of .321 in the World Series.
I’ll say it…Derek Jeter is THE GREATEST shortstop of all time.
Congrats, Captain!
