The final trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker is here…and we’ve got analysis for ya!

First…take a gander at the trailer itself.   Then…stay tuned for our take on the movie!

WOW!   That was nuts!   Let’s break it down!

First…the movie opens up in a wooded area…is this the moon of Endor (featured in Return Of The Jedi)…or is this the planet of Endor itself?   We’re leaning towards the latter.

Then…skip to about :34 seconds in…and you see a starship flying on that same planet.   And you know who’s ship that is?   That’s LEIA’S ship, baby!   That’s our general and princess and she’s back!

Let’s move on to :41 seconds in, where we witness Rey and Kylo Ren having a lightsaber duel on what appears to either be a Star Destroyer or Death Star II.   My guess is that it could be the Emperor’s Star Destroyer.

Let’s go to :52 seconds in, where we visit some sort of strange, ice planet that appears to be the headquarters for the First Order/Empire.   My theory is that this is where the Emperor is located.

At 1:09 in, we view a small starship coming out of the water.   Could this be Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing?   Remember, we saw Luke’s famous ship at the bottom of the sea on Ahch-To (the island planet from The Last Jedi).

Here’s a big one.   At 1:14 in, we see C-3PO getting worked on by a little creature.   Then Threepio, in a sad tone, says he’s getting “one last look” at his friends.   WAIT!   Are they gonna kill off C-3PO?!   They better not even think about having Threepio die!!   Do you hear me, J.J. Abrams (director of The Rise Of Skywalker)?!   C-3PO must not perish!!

After that, there are a bunch of quick action shots (with a glimpse of Lando Calrissian at 1:40 in).

Finally, we go to about 2:00 in, where it appears that PERHAPS the good Rey and sinister Kylo Ren may team up to take on the evil Emperor.

I can’t wait!   I’m feeling very optimistic about this Star Wars movie…and will see it on opening night on December 20th!

May the Force be with you!
