This very question popped up on Twitter yesterday and we’re running with it.

The rules are simple.   The character can be from any HBO show (comedy or drama), and from any era.

Let us know who YOUR Top 3 HBO characters are on Facebook.com/959TheRat or Twitter.com/959TheRat!

3.) Tyrion Lannister (Game Of Thrones)

Peter Dinklage was absoultely amazing in his Emmy Award-winning performance as Tyrion.   He could be funny, bitter, menacing, caring, and everything else in-between.   A truly incredible character.

2.) Omar (The Wire)

Omar’s coming!   Omar Little (portrayed by the fantastic Michael K. Williams) was like the Batman of the critically-acclaimed and brilliant show The Wire.   Omar wasn’t a drug-dealer…he PUNISHED the drug dealers.   Totally unforgettable and awesome character.

1.) Tony Soprano (The Sopranos)

The man, the myth, the legend.  The unbelievable James Gandolfini created perhaps not just the best character in HBO history…but quite possibly the greatest character in the history of TELEVISION.  Period.
