Hello.   My name is “East Side” Dave.   And I am an Eli-holic.

My football team, the New York Football Giants, announced yesterday that quarterback Eli Manning will be benched for the remainder of the season in favor of rookie QB Daniel Jones.

During his excellent Giants career, Eli Manning threw more touchdowns (362) than any other Giants QB in the history of the organization.   In fact, Eli is EIGHTH on the all-time passing TD list.

He’s also a two-time Super Bowl Champion AND two-time Super Bowl MVP.

Eli made four Pro Bowls as well…and was a constant class-act during his Giants tenure.

And in addition to those on-the-field achievements, he won the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award in 2017…which honors a player’s volunteer and charity work.

I am going to miss Number Ten…but I hope to see him in Hoboken one day!

To salute Eli…we’ve assembled a few videos (including his classic Saturday Night Live appearance).

Enjoy!   God bless Eli!

PS – Dave Gettleman stinks.
