(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Work In Progress “Porch” LIVE Pearl Jam Cover

Little Egg Harbor Rock outfit Work In Progress is a 6-piece made up of Pinelands Regional High School students and alumni. You may recognize one of their singers from a certain hit Netflix show. The band has released 2 singles and is currently working on their debut EP. You can catch them in action at The Sea Hear Now Festival in Asbury Park this Saturday. Check out the live video of their cover of Pearl Jam’s “Porch” on the Jersey Rock page!

Hailing from Little Egg Harbor, Work In Progress is a literal work in progress. The band is currently working on their debut EP and boasts a 6-piece lineup ranging in age from 15 to 20 years old. All are either current students or alumni of Pinelands Regional High School. The lineup includes Chad Miller on guitar, Griffin Schriever on guitar, Matt Grayson on bass, Carmen Matarazzo on drums, and Sabrina and Gaten Matarazzo on vocals.

Many will recognize Gaten Matarazzo from the Netflix megahit “Stranger Things.”  That fact has already garnered a lot of attention for the up-and-coming act, however there is more to Work In Progress than just their singer’s star power.

While the band may be young, their first single “Dream Eater,” tackles the serious subject of substance abuse.  It’s a mature track with a great message that rings true in the midst of the opioid epidemic. Check it out on soundcloud and spotify!

Don’t miss Work In Progress at The Sea Hear Now Festival in Asbury Park on Saturday 9/21!  They will rock The Park Stage at 2:15 pm. Tickets to the two day festival are available at seahearnowfestival.com!

Stay on top of everything the band is up to at wipbandofficial.com.

We’re looking forward to an official video for “Dream Eater." So far Work In Progress has only released cover videos on their official youtube channel.  Check out this rad rendition of Pearl Jam’s “Porch”!
