Winter is coming. While the seasons technically changed on 12/21 there is no doubt the coldest days are still ahead of us. The nights are long, the temperatures are low and a warm fire is always welcome. If you are looking for a band to provide the perfect soundtrack for this season, then look no further than Cold Weather Company.
The New Brunswick Alternative Folk outfit’s music is rich and complex. While their sound is perfect for this time of year, it can easily be enjoyed in any season. That fact was demonstrated when the group rocked back-to-back Jersey Rock acoustic shows at Pier Village in Long Branch back in the Summer of 2016.
In the time since their Jersey Rock residency, Cold Weather Company has been hard at work on their third album; the first recorded in a professional studio. The band spared no expense to put together the most powerful album possible. It features 16 songs and is roughly 1 hour long. The LP is peppered with guest appearances from a number of talented musicians. It is an overall great effort.
Cold Weather Company’s upcoming album is titled “Find Light.” It will be available on 1/25. Ahead of that, the band will rock an album release show at the Mercury Lounge in New York City on 1/23. Evangelia is also on the bill. It is a 21+ show. Tickets are $12 at the door, but can be purchased in advance for $10 via ticketfly.com.
