Korn's Brian "Head" Welch has been in the news this past week with the release of the trailer of his new Showtime documentary LOUD KRAZY LOVE.
The remarkable true story of KoRn's Brian Head Welch and the little girl that rocked his world.
The doc explores Welch’s journey with substance addiction in and out of Korn alongside raising his daughter, Jennea, and the various struggles she has faced. On Talkin' Rock with Meltdown, Welch talks about what it was like to watch the finished documentary for the first time:
“It was really personal to us, so it was difficult to watch. The first time I saw it, actually, it was emotional, but I was just like, ‘It’s a work of art.’ Everybody getting behind the film, the partners I Am Second [films], [Producer Sam] Ditore [and Director Scott] Mayo, they really put together something special that I can have for the rest of my life. And I can help, hopefully, just countless people. It’s really a blessing.”
LOUD KRAZY LOVE premieres on Showtime December 14 at 10 PM ET/PT and will help close out a busy year for Welch, but from the sound of it, it's looking to be a busy 2019 for Korn:
“A month with the family, a couple weeks in the studio writing...Where we’re at is we’re done with the drums of the songs we’ve written, and I think we’re gonna write more. The guitars aren’t done yet. The bass is far from being done. The vocals have been messed with a little bit, so we’re taking our time, man. We’re going to hit it hard at the beginning of the year, and hopefully get this thing knocked out. We’ve taken the biggest break that we have in years, and it was meant to be. Someone’s watching over us, because you know, Jonathan [Davis] and his tragedy [of the death of his estranged wife, Deven] that he’s gone through, he needed time off, and he needed to focus on things more. So yeah, it’s been good, but we can’t wait to get back, man. We got things cookin’, so we’re hoping to make some announcements in early next year."
