The Morning Rat Race

Weekdays 6am - 10am

The Marvel Universe is killing it in the box office.   DC has multiple pictures in production.   Netflix and network television are capitalizing on them.   They are Superheroes.   And they are awesome.   So we made a list…

…it’s East Side Dave’s Top 5 Superhero Songs!   The rules are simple!   The song has to either be inspired by a Superhero, be directly about a Superhero, or borrow terms from a Superhero!

Enjoy this action-packed article!!   ZWAM!!

– Dave (a.k.a. “The Guy You’re About To Disagree With Once You See This List”)

5.) “Holy Wars…The Punishment Due” by Megadeth

Dave Mustaine apparently is a big fan of The Punisher and the second half of the lyrics are a tribute to him.

4.) “Side Kick” by Rancid

Hey, how about some love for the Superhero sidekick?!   Without them…Superheroes wouldn’t be able to find their costumes!   Right, Alfred?!

3.) “Spider-Man” by The Ramones

How absolutely awesome is it when The Ramones pay tribute to Peter Parker‘s alter ego?!   The answer…pretty-damned-awesome.

2.) “Batdance” by Prince

Prince gets dressed up like The Joker in this sinister video.

1.) “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath

Now, Iron Man the comic book came out in 1963.   “Iron Man” the Sabbath song came out in 1971.   So, technically, Ozzy could have been inspired by this Superhero!
