JAHK is pronounced “Jack” and, like that name sounds, the artist who bears it is a jack of a number of trades. JAHK is a singer, songwriter, and musician. She is also highly adept at the art of Yoga, which she instructs locally. All of those skills are on display in her video for “Into You,” which was featured as the Jersey Rock Video of the Week back in May.
JAHK’s sound can be described as Indie Pop. She draws influence from the music of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. JAHK learned to sing while listening to Pearl Jam, Madonna, The Cranberries, Jewel, Mazzy Star and Alanis Morrisette.
JAHK will release her debut album “11:23” on 11/23. She currently has 2 singles available and a third on the way. Her 80’s-inspired single “Round” was featured on last week’s Jersey Rock Podcast. We’ll do all 3 singles this week on Jersey Rock. Tune to Rat Radio at Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night at 11:30 to hear the tracks. JAHK will call in to the show each night!
