NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 07: Inductee Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam performs onstage at the 32nd Annual Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony at Barclays Center on April 7, 2017 in New York City. Debuting on HBO Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 8:00 pm ET/PT

To the surprises of likely no one, the debut live performance of Pearl Jam’s latest single “Can’t Deny Me” was moving for multiple reasons.

To begin with, Eddie Vedder took to the mic and addressed the crowd at Lollapalooza Chile last night (March  13) and dedicated the rousing track to the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.

Secondly, and on a lighter note, Vedder should be given the MVCP (Most Valuable Cowbell Player) award for his performance.  We’re sure he made Gene Frenkle proud.

“Can’t Deny Me” is available on multiple digital platforms, with a new album currently in the works.
