We love when rock stars do some good, and it doesn’t get better than what Dave Navarro and Billy Morrison are planning.

The guitarists announced a special benefit concert called “Above Ground,” which will also feature appearances by Corey Taylor, Courtney Love, Billy Idol and Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes.  The show will take place April 16 at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles with the goal to bring awareness to mental health issues with proceeds benefitting MusiCares.

The show itself will see this collection of artists performing the albums The Velvet Underground with Nico and Adam Ant’s Kings of the Wild Frontier in their entirety.

No word yet if this show will be streaming anywhere, but we sure hope so!  Tickets go on sale to the general public on February 24 at 10 AM PST at LiveNation.com.
