Another legendary Star Wars actor has left us too soon…and what a character he was!
Alfie Curtis, the actor who played Dr. Evazan in the original 1977 Star Wars (Episode IV: A New Hope), has passed away at the age of 87.
“Who the heck is Dr. Evazan?” you may be asking. Well, he is the nasty, pig-nosed guy in the Mos Eisley Cantina bar who mistakenly decides to talk some smack to Luke Skywalker.
Evazan and his monster-buddy, Ponda Baba, then meet some serious repercussions when Obi-Wan Kenobi doesn’t stand for Luke getting bullied by a couple of space-drunks.
RIP, Dr. Evazan (Alfie Curtis)! May the Force be with you!
