New Year Looking Up For Muse Fans
Muse is plotting early 2018 for its next single.
The group released the standalone “Dig Down” in May, and singer-guitarist Matt Bellamy said during a radio interview in Los Angeles over the weekend that the British trio has finished another song, “Thought Contagion,” that is “gonna come out next year. We’re going to give it to you, like, in January or something, or February. It’s a great track — rocking, heavy.”
As for an album to follow up 2015’s Drones, Bellamy said, “I think next year we’ll do, like, two or three more songs like this, and then the album might be, like, later next year or early ’19, something like that.”
Muse plays a pair of shows in Australia this week and will be part of the Carolina Rebellion during May in Concord, N.C. The group is expected to announce more shows for 2018 as well.
