Corey Taylor Releasing Solo Live LP
Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor will give fans a holiday present next week with Live In London, a free live album from a solo show earlier this year that will be released on Sunday (December 17) via Taylor’s website.
Taylor has released a one-minute teaser from the performance lone, while the 23 song tracklist includes both Slipknot and Stone Sour songs as well as covers of the Grateful Dead‘s “Friend Of The Devil,” Van Morrison‘s “I’ll Be Your Lover, Too,” KISS‘ “Hard Luck Woman,” R.E.M.’s “The One I Love,” Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?” and more.
The live album caps a year that saw Stone Sour release a new album, Hydrograd, and Taylor publish a new book, America 51: A Probe into the Realities That are Hiding Inside ‘The Greatest Country in the World.
Slipknot is currently on hiatus, while Taylor tells us he’s contemplating ideas for his next book:
“I’m definitely never gonna f***ing write about politics again ’cause it’s f***ing exhausting, dude. It’s f***ing bull***. I’ve got a couple of ideas. I’m thinking about doing a sequel to ‘You’re Making Me Hate You.’ I wrote a column for a British magazine for about 16 years; I’m thinking a bout doing a collection of greatest hits for that one, picking some of my favorites…I’ve got a couple other ones. Maybe a relationship one that will piss off everybody. Why not? At this point all I can do is way more damage, so we’ll see what happens.”
Stone Sour is currently on the road in Europe and will be part of the Shiprocked cruise in January, with a North American tour after that and U.S. festivals and U.K. dates into the spring and summer.
