The world of wrestling lost a true icon, as Bobby “The Brain” Heenan has died at the age of 73.

Bobby is widely considered by many to be the greatest manager in wrestling history.  But, he was also an excellent show host and commentator.  WWE C.E.O. Vince McMahon has called him the “Johnny Carson of wrestling.”

What made Heenan so great was his incredible wit, and his uncanny ability to be very humorous on one hand…but intensely serious on the other.

Bobby’s team was appropriately named the “Heenan Family”…and it was said that a wrestler’s stock instantly rose with audiences (and within the industry) when he chose Bobby for a manager.

Heenan was also taunted by wrestling fans with chants of “Weasel” for his tendency to cross the lines of fair sportsmanship when one of his guys was having a match.

Bobby was one of the great legends of the squared circle.  Let’s take a look at some of his best promos!  RIP to “The Brain”!
