Oasis’ Liam Gallagher brings his solo show to the U.S. this weekend, playing on Sunday night (July 30) in Brooklyn as a warm-up for his two Lollapalooza performances next week in Chicago.
Gallagher’s first solo album, As You Were, doesn’t come out until October 6, and while he’s released a pair of singles from it — “Wall Of Glass” and “Chinatown” — he promises plenty of Oasis material as part of the shows:
“We’re just going straight into the Oasis stuff. We start with ‘Rock And Roll Star,’ ‘Morning Glory,’ then we hit with ‘Wall Of Glass.’ then we do a bit of ‘Greedy Soul,’ ‘Bold’ and a couple of new ones, and then we do another two Oasis and then some more new ones, then we end on two Oasis songs. So everyone’s getting a good…value for money.”
After Lollapalooza Gallagher plays at the Osheaga Festival on August 5 in Montreal and has shows in Asia and Europe before returning to North America for a nine-show run in November.
