GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND - JUNE 24: Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters performs on day 3 of the Glastonbury Festival 2017 at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 24, 2017 in Glastonbury, England; LAS VEGAS, NV - MAY 28: Singer Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men performs during a stop of The Total Package Tour at T-Mobile Arena on May 28, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

We now know one of the guests slated for Foo Fighters‘ new album Concrete And GoldShawn Stockman of the R&B/Pop vocal group Boyz II Men.

Foos frontman Dave Grohl confirmed that Stockman sings on the album’s title track, telling the BBC that he saw Stockman walking through the parking lot of the recording studio and asked him to sing on the album. “And he does — on the heaviest song on the entire record,” Grohl said. “It sounds like (Black) Sabbath and Pink Floyd. It’s the last song on the record with the guy from Boyz II Men — his name is Shawn. He built a choir. It’s like 40 vocals stacked. It’s insane.”

Boyz II Men is best known for its 90s smashes such as “Motownphilly,” “End Of The Road,” “On Bended Knee,” “I’ll Make Love To You” and “One Sweet Day” with Mariah Carey.

Concrete And Gold is due out September 14 and features a number of other guests: Grohl previously said that it will include “probably the biggest pop star in the world and — I’m not kidding…on one of the heaviest songs on the record,” which may be Stockman based on his description of the “Concrete And Gold” track.

The Foos wrap up their European tour on Friday (July 7) and have dates in Asia and Europe during August, with a North American tour kicking off October 7 at Cal Jam in San Bernardino, Calif.
