I love My Cousin Vinny...and I want to talk about it on its 25th Anniversary.
The movie (a huge comedy hit from 1992) stars Joe Pesci (in the best era for Pesci movies...the early '90's)...who had just come off of his Academy Award-winning role in Goodfellas; plus given stellar performances in JFK and Home Alone...as the fast-talking, slightly sleazy Vinny...who has to quickly learn the law and defend his nephew, Billy (Ralph Macchio), after Billy and his friend are falsely accused of murder.
Marisa Tomei is tremendous as Vinny's girlfriend Mona Lisa Vito. In fact, she won an Oscar for her hysterical performance. And look for Fred Gwynne of The Munsters (Herman Munster), who does a great job playing the strict, Southern judge.
