Bumble is Opening a Brick-And-Mortar Location
Social networking/dating app Bumble is taking dating to the next level.
In New York City, during the month of June, they will be opening up a brick-and-mortar location. The pop-up shop will be called “The Hive” and hopes to connect singles living in the Big Apple in real life.

CEO and founder Whitney Wolfe told Mashable that, “It will follow the format of Bumble and offer something for everyone. A place for dates to meet, friends to do activities together, and co-working for our buzz users. Bumble has allowed you to build your hive digitally, and now we’re giving you an extension of that physically.”
By making the space open to everyone and not just to those on their first date, the Bumble brick-and-mortar will essentially be a temporary meet-up space. Customers who visit the location can also expect to see a coffee bar as well as a real bar. Mashable also reports that the pop-up shop has partnered with Forbes, Whispering Angel Rose, and Drybar so we are sure there are going to be several goodies at the location.
In the future, the company is trying to make these spots a permanent fixture. Wolfe went on to say that they would like their “users to convene in a safe place where only positive interaction is welcome.”
When dating online, it is always good to know you are meeting your match in a safe location.
