Metal Life Crisis is the lifestyle of those whose passion for Heavy Metal burns bright. Walking the path of the headbanger, they rock out to Metal Gods ranging from Judas Priest to Helloween. For some, however, it is not enough to simply enjoy the offerings of those who came before them. For those individuals, the best way to live the Metal Life Crisis lifestyle is to produce original music.
That is where this week’s Jersey Rock Band of the Week comes in.
Metal Life Crisis is a union of 4 brothers of metal who have taken their love of the genre to the next level. The Belmar-based band recently put out their “Volt” EP. Named for their mascot, the disc features 5 solid tracks. You can score a copy of it HERE.
Tune to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The Rat on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to hear cuts from the disc. On Tuesday night Guitarist Shawn Kaiser will call in to the show. Singer Gerald Franklin will join us over the phone on Wednesday night and Shawn Kaiser will call in again on Thursday to finish off the week.
Metal Life Crisis will close out a 2 day Rock and Metal festival when they take the stage at The Saint in Asbury Park on Saturday June 3. The Summer Kickoff All Metal Birthday Bash blows the roof off The Saint in Asbury Park on June 2 and June 3. The event is a birthday celebration for Chris Scherzinger and Chris Homeny and will feature a number of great acts. Tickets for each day of the festival are $10 and are available at thesaintnj.com
