Jersey Rock Feature of the Week: An Evening at the Overlook to Benefit Move for Hunger

Rocking Convention Hall in Asbury Park This Saturday Night December 3!

The holiday season is here!  It's a time for catching up with family, seeing old friends and having an all around good time.  However, the season is not equally bright for everyone.  These days there are many people struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table.  Some of them may have been the ones helping others in need in the past.  It is an unfortunate truth, but with it comes the opportunity to do something about it.  That's what Biff Swenson of Yawn Mower and Angie Sugrim of the Asbury Park Boardwalk are doing.  They are teaming up with a number of Jersey Rockers to put on an awesome benefit show for Move For Hunger this Saturday Night at Convention Hall in Asbury Park!

Cassanova Cassettes Presents:  An Evening at the Overlook to Benefit Move For Hunger will take place at the Overlook Bar, located on the second level of Convention Hall in Asbury Park, this Saturday Night December 3.  Doors are at 7pm.  The music starts at 8pm.  Tickets are $10 at the door, $7 with a canned food donation.  100% of the money raised goes to Move for Hunger.  You can learn more about the event and purchase tickets HERE.

Taking the stage are 7 great Jersey Rock bands including:   Levy & The Oaks, Beatrix Potter Band, GayGuy/StraightGuy, Prehistoric Forest, Yawn Mower, Ba Babes, & TrapBang . They were assembled by Biff Swenson of Yawn Mower, who has known everyone on the bill since he was in high school.

Biff will call in to Jersey Rock on Tuesday (11/29), Wednesday (11/30) and Thursday (12/1) night so tune to 95.9 The Rat at 11:30pm to hear him and learn more about the show.  Each night we will play a track from a band appearing at Convention Hall this Saturday night.  On Tuesday we'll hear from Prehistoric Forest.  On Wednesday GayGuy/StraightGuy  will hit the airwaves. Yawn Mower brings it home on Thursday night. Levy & The Oaks hold down the Jersey Rock Video of the Week so be sure to check it out HERE.
