Jersey Rock Artist of the Week: Nicole Atkins

Performing at House Of Independents on Friday October 28.

Neptune native Nicole Atkins excels at representing the Garden State.  She's put out 5 EPs and 3 full-length albums, performed on television programs like Conan and The Late Show with David Letterman and toured extensively throughout the US and Europe.  She's been compared to Roy Orbison, with a sound that blends elements of 1950's-style crooning with 1960's era phsychedelia.  Her music possesses a real artistic vibe that will be very much at home among the many unique attractions of  Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park when she takes the stage at House Of Independents on October 28.

In honor of Nicole Atkins' homecoming this Fall we will be taking cuts from her discography all week.  On Tuesday we'll lead off with a track from 2007's "Neptune City", followed on Wednesday by 2011's "Mondo Amore" and 2014's "Slow Phaser" on Thursday.  You can grab those albums along with her EPs on
