Ozzy/Sharon News Round-Up: Sobriety Statement, Sharon Not On ‘The Talk’

There's plenty of news about Ozzy Osbourne in the wake of Monday's (May 9) revelation that he and wife/manager Sharon Osbourne have split up again. So strap in -- and don't fly too close to his mouth...

* Though the split was reportedly caused by Ozzy's affair with celebrity hairdresser Michelle Pugh, Ozzy issued a statement saying that, "I have been sober for three and a quarter years. I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate.

* Ozzy is said to be MIA, with even his children unsure of his whereabouts, but he will be at the Palladium in Hollywood on Thursday (May 12) for a "very special announcement" with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor. Rumors indicate the two will be merging their OZZFest and Slipknot festivals for a special blowout this fall. Press invitations say Ozzy will be speaking but caution that Ozzy "will speak only about his tour plans."

* In the wake of the reports Sharon Osbourne skipped Monday's (May 9) episode of her syndicated TV show "The Talk," with Leeza Gibbons filling in.

* Ozzy returns to the road on June 1, when Black Sabbath begins the European leg of its The End farewell tour in Budapest, Hungary.
