Jersey Rock Band of the Week: Levy & The Oaks

Asbury Park Indie/Folk Rockers Levy & The Oaks are back with a brand new acoustic EP. "Out Of The Blue" features 4 acoustic versions of songs from the band's debut self-titled album and 1 brand new track. The band will celebrate the EP at a FREE record release show at Langosta Lounge on the Asbury Boardwalk on 5/25. Lou Panico will call in to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The Rat on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 pm to discuss the upcoming performance and we'll do some great tracks from the EP!

Alison Swift Birthday Bash - February 19 at Jamian's in Red Bank

Alison Swift, Mother of 2 and wife of WRAT DJ Erik Swift, left us in April of 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer. Alison's birthday is coming up. We will mark the occasion with a benefit concert in her honor featuring 5 awesome Jersey Rock bands at Jamian's in Red Bank on Sunday February 19. Doors are at 1 pm. Admission is a suggested donation of $10. See you there!

Fresh off rocking the Studio at Webster Hall, Levy & The Oaks will lend their talent to An Evening at the Overlook to Benefit Move For Hunger this Saturday night 12/3 at Convention Hall in Asbury Park. The video for the lead single off their self-titled, debut album "Slowly In The Water," was filmed on location in Jersey City, Orange and Manhattan. It's a beautifully shot, sharply edited piece that matches this great song very well. Check it out now!

Jersey Rock Feature of the Week: An Evening at the Overlook to Benefit Move for Hunger

On Saturday December 3 Levy & The Oaks, Beatrix Potter Band, GayGuy/StraightGuy, Prehistoric Forest, Yawn Mower, Ba Babes, & TrapBang will take the stage at the Overlook Bar at Convention Hall in Asbury Park to benefit Move For Hunger. Event organizer Biff Swenson of Yawn Mower will join Tom over the phone this week on Jersey Rock.
