(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: The Walk Arounds "Point Place Girls"

Debut Self-Titled EP Out Now!

The Walk Arounds is an up-and-coming Alternative Punk Rock Act from Jackson.  While they are still in High School, the group is quickly making a name for itself on the local scene. They recently opened for Monster Magnet at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville and currently have a self-titled EP out.

The Walk Arounds’ eponymous EP features three original tracks and includes the song from this week’s Jersey Rock Video of the Week “Point Place Girls.”  While you can score a copy of the disc at a live show, you can also listen to the entire EP now via the band’s soundcloud page.

The Walk Arounds video for “Point Place Girls” offers a fun take on the world of online dating.  In an era where hooking up with complete strangers via cell phone apps has become commonplace, it harkens back to a time when people were a little more wary of IRL encounters.  Cutting between a story dealing with the aformentioned subject matter and shots of the band performing in a number of locations, it presents the track in a fun, energetic manner.  It was shot and directed by Matt Tiedemann.
