The Skullers are from Weehawkin and put out a sound that can be described as Bluesy Modern Rock. The group is lead by veteran Singer/Song-writer Jack Skuller. With a highly active performance schedule and frequent single releases, The Skullers are poised to make a serious impression on the local scene.
Jack Skuller released his first single at the age of 14. Radio Disney took note of his talent and signed him for a 15 city tour. In 2014 The Songwriters Hall of Fame awarded Jack The Holly Prize, named for the legendary Buddy Holly, in recognition of his songwriting and musicianship. Following his early acclaim, Jack Skuller linked up with Drummer Gabriel Scholis-Fernandez and Bassist Luigi Sardi to form The Skullers.
The Skullers have been regularly pumping out singles and music videos over the last several months, twice earning the title of Jersey Rock Video of the Week. The band released their debut EP “Meet The Skullers” on 9/22. The 5-track collection is a strong effort, drawing influence from the realms of Blues and Rockabilly. It was produced by 4-time Grammy-nominated Producer Joel Hamilton, who previously worked with The Black Keys, Highly Suspect, Pretty Lights, and Tom Waits.
