Jersey Rock Band of the Week: Frankenstein 3000

Rocking The Brighton Bar on Friday 8/11!

Frankenstein 3000 is a veteran Punk outfit based in Asbury Park.  Their influences include The New York Dolls, The Ramones, Cheap Trick, Kiss and The Rolling Stones. F3K enjoy a strong local following and even greater acclaim overseas.  The band will be releasing a new album a little later this year.  Jersey Rock has obtained a copy of the yet-to-be-titled LP.  Whatever they choose to call it, it totally rocks hard.  We’ll let you know when the album drops.  In the meantime, you can score Frankenstein 3000’s large discography HERE.

F3K frontman Keith Roth hosts “The Electric Ballroom,”  an awesome Punk Rock specialty show that has aired on WRAT for close to 20 years.  You can catch Keith’s show, which always features a great rock star guest host, every Sunday night from 8pm to 10pm. Learn more about “The Electric Ballroom” HERE.

Tune to Jersey Rock on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night at 11:30 to hear some great cuts from Frankenstein 3000’s upcoming record.  Keith Roth will join us in-studio all week to talk about the new release and the band’s upcoming performance in Long Branch.

Don’t miss Frankenstein 3000 at The Brighton Bar on Friday 8/11.  They’re on the bill with Handsome Dick Manitoba and Jon Caspi and the First Gun.  Tickets are $13 in advance, $17 at the door and are available HERE.
