(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Matthew Stephen & The Sweet Action "Grooving To The Beat"

Rocking The Chubby Pickle in Highlands on June 1!

You may know him as the Frontman of Airacuda.  With his group on hiatus, Matthew Stephen Menges began his solo project in 2016.  This July Matthew Stephen & The Sweet Action will release their debut EP “Grooving To The Beat”

The title track is this week’s Jersey Rock Video of the Week.

"Grooving To The Beat" is a great, upbeat track and its accompanying video is a lot of fun.  With Memorial Day upon us, it's a great video to usher in the unofficial start of Summer!

"Grooving To The Beat" was directed by Matt Menges and Nelson Wong, who also handled the filming and editing duties.  It tells a straightforward story about the power music has to put a spring in one’s step.  Thanks to a pair of headphones and a good tune a seemingly decrepit old man, played by Menges, is transformed into a dancing machine.  Wong’s camera follows Menges as he grooves through a suburban neighborhood, train station and amusement park.  It’s kind of reminiscent of those Six Flags commercials, featuring the dancing old man, from the late 90’s/early 2000’s.

You can catch Matthew Stephen & The Sweet Action at The Chubby Pickle in Highlands on June 1. The show is free.
