(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Bitter Crush "Powders and Pills"

Rocking House Of Independents with Colossal Street Jam, Frankenstein 3000 and Kenny Dubman on April 28!

Bitter Crush is a modern rock band comprised of four old friends.  Channelling the influences of 60s Rock N’ Roll, Classic Rock, Punk and Alternative into a modern sound, Bitter Crush can be described as a foreward-looking throwback.

Bitter Crush are:

Amy Gruber Phillips - Vocals, Keyboards

Lou Vito - Guitar, Synths

Steve Buzbee - Drums

Joe Rowley - Bass

WRAT listeners will recognize Lou Vito and Joe Rowley from their work in the regionally renowned group The Whirling Dervishes.  Their cover of “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch,” is a Rat Radio Holiday Classic.

Bitter Crush recently put out their self-titled debut EP.  You can score a copy of the disc HERE.

Don’t miss Bitter Crush at House Of Independents in Asbury Park on Friday April 28.  They’re playing the Celebration of the Guitar with Colossal Street Jam, Frankenstein 3000, and Kenny Dubman.  Tickets are $15 and are available HERE.

Bitter Crush’s video for “Powder and Pills” is less of a music video and more of a preview of their latest single.  While the video may be composed of just one frame, there is much more to the song.  Check it out:
