Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and Sammy Hagar are among the speakers announced for this year's South By Southwest conferences taking place during mid-March in Austin, Texas.
Exact dates for their talks haven't been announced but both are expected to be part of the music portion of the event, which runs from March 14-19. Hagar will speak about his music career as well as being "a dedicated philanthropist" and "auspicious entrepreneur," while Novoselic is expected to focus on political themes as the board chairman of the non-profit group FairVote.
The two are part of a just-announced list of SXSW speakers that includes actor/filmmaker Seth Rogen, Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin, U.S. Senator Cory Booker, WWE star John Cena, The Muppets and Star Wars puppeteer Frank Oz, syndicated talk show host Rachael Ray, CNN's Jake Tapper and musicians Mick Fleetwood, Cindy Wilson of the B-52's and Kesha.
