Popular comedian Jerry Seinfeld has just inked a production deal with Netflix that will allow fans to see even more of his projects via the streaming site, including his “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” series which has included Java-sipping guests on the show like Larry David, Mel Brooks, Chris Rock, Tina Fey, and even President Barack Obama.
In addition to that series, fans will also be able to check out two of Seinfeld’s stand-up specials, which will be released later this year, as well as both scripted and non-scripted programming that Seinfeld will create specifically for the brand.
Netflix is becoming an increasingly popular platform for original programming, and grabbed comedian Chelsea Handler after her contract with the E! network expired.
Forbes estimates that this deal brought in a major payday for Seinfeld, probably somewhere around eight figures.
