A major announcement from Ozzy Osbourne and Corey Taylor was teased for today, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Ozzfest and Knotfest will be joining forces this September 24-25 to form “Ozzfest Meets Knotfest,” a two day hard rock/metal extravaganza with Ozzfest taking place on the 24th and Knotfest taking place the 25th.
Ozzfest will be headlined by Black Sabbath, and their set will serve as the band’s final performance in North America. Other acts slated for the 24th include Disturbed, Megadeth, Opeth, Black Label Society, Rival Sons and more!
Knotfest, naturally, will be headlined by Slipknot and also feature on the bill Slayer, Anthrax, Trivium, Suicide Silence and more!
Both nights will feature a stage on the festival grounds dubbed the "Lemmy Stage" in honor of the late Lemmy Kilmister.
Tickets go on sale May 20th to the general public, but fans can access a presale starting May 13th at 10 AM through May 16th at 10 PM with the password OZZKNOT. Complete details can be found at OzzfestMeetsKnotfest.com.
Side note: Sharon Osbourne was in attendance and introduced a number of artists on stage, including Ozzy, which resulted in a very awkward hug.
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne are standing shoulder to shoulder in Hollywood right now -- but this is no warm and fuzzy reunion.
