To distract from the fact that Instagram will no longer be updating in real time, a new update is in beta testing in regards to searching.
We're still bothered by the fact that Instagram's parent company Facebook is implementing it's algorithm to shuffle around what they think we want to see based on your likes, but this new feature might make some Instagram users happy.
The company is now looking into putting a search bar in the followers and following feed so you can search for a user, rather than having to super-stalk-swipe through thousands of followers to locate and un-follow, view their profile, or more.
As of right now, Nylon says this feature is in the trial phase, but we're going to hope that it gets passed that point so it's at least easy for us to find our friends... You know, in case Instagram thinks we don't want to see their posts.
#WHPfirstlight asked community members to make images and videos as the sun was rising, capturing the first light of the day — like this one by 23-year-old student Mahardhika Perkasa (@mhrdhikadp) of Indonesia. “I have insomnia lately, and while trying to make myself tired, I walked around with my camera and found this stunning scenery,” says Mahardhika, who took this image around 5:30 in the morning. “It rarely happens that there’s any fog in my city, so I didn’t have to think twice about snapping this photo.” Follow along as we feature some of our favorite submissions throughout the week, and check out more at blog.instagram.com.
