Didn’t care for Lady Gaga’s tribute to David Bowie from last night’s Grammy ceremony? Check out this performance from Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear and Beck!
The surviving members of Nirvana and Mr. Two Turntables and a Microphone took to the stage at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party and performed Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold The World.” Beck introduced the song with, “This is for two geniuses who are no longer with us,” which is a nod to both Bowie and Kurt Cobain.
Nirvana famously performed the Bowie tune on MTV’s Unplugged, which was recorded five months before Cobain’s death. The set would be released seven months after Cobain’s passing in November 1994.
