Billie Joe Armstrong Not Happy With Lack Of Rock At VMAs

After MTV revealed the nominees for “Best Rock Video” for the 2015 VMAs, we kind of assumed they didn’t care much for most of today’s rock artists.  (You know…because there wasn’t a true rock act represented.)  Considering this, we weren’t expecting much on the rock front from the “prestigious” award show, but Billie Joe Armstrong still took to Twitter to vent.

Since the VMAs are strictly about ratings (let’s be honest), we doubt the brass at “Music Television” will really take Billie Joe’s tweets into consideration for next year’s show and add in more representation from the rock community.  Personally, we think a bunch of rock bands should just show up and try to get in just to make the producers sweat, because if there’s one thing we’ve learned from the VMAs, it’s to just make a sh*t-show of a scene.
