It’s been nearly six months since The Offspring dropped their single “Coming For You,” but as far as a new album goes, it sounds like fans will have to get comfy, because that may take a while.
Noodles recently did an interview with The Aspen Times when the band was in town for a show and said, “We want to do a record, that’s the plan, but it’s taking forever…We released this song because we felt good about it immediately. It was one of the first one or two songs we finished, so we were like, ‘If we wait on this it might be another year, year-and-a-half. Why don’t we just put it out and see what happens?”
The song definitely rejuvenated The Offspring’s touring schedule. They’ve been playing headlining and festival shows all spring and summer in North America, with three gigs in California rounding out the month of July, and they’ll be heading to Europe next month to play a bunch of festivals.
