Opening Night Recap Of Van Halen’s North American Tour

Van Halen kicked off their much-buzzed about North American tour last night (July 5th) in Seattle, and the set list was chock-full of surprises!

Crafted by Wolfgang Van Halen, the 23-song set list (as reported by the Van Halen News Desk) contained the David Lee Roth-era hits fans know and love, as well as rarities, like “Drop Dead Legs” off of 1984 which made its live debut last night. “Light Up the Sky” off of Van Halen II started the show off marking the first time VH played that song live since 1980.  “Feel Your Love Tonight” off of VH’s debut also made an appearance, with that track being last played live back in 1998.  Fair Warning’s “Dirty Movies” also made its live debut last night.

These deep cuts will surely be appreciated by those who prefer the Roth-era of Van Halen, especially since it’s been reported in recent weeks that the band will be staying away from any songs from the Sammy Hagar-era
